As a Social Media Volunteer, you will work closely with our Marketing Lead to develop and implement social media strategies across various platforms.

- Working with the Marketing Lead to assist in the creation of multimedia content, such as graphics, videos, and infographics, to enhance social media presence.
- Produce, edit, schedule, and publish social media content to increase engagement, followers, and brand awareness.
- Engage with followers and foster a sense of community through meaningful interactions and conversations.
- Monitoring social media comments and inquiries, and directing them to the appropriate team member for response.
- Collaborate with the Volunteering Development Lead and Marketing Lead to align social media efforts with overall organisational goals and campaigns.
- Monitor relevant conversations and trending topics to identify opportunities for engagement and content creation.
- Support in tracking and analysing social media metrics to assess the effectiveness of campaigns.
- Support special events, campaigns, and initiatives by promoting them through social media channels.
What we are looking for:
- Passion for community impact and volunteering.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Understanding of social media platforms and their respective best practices.
- Knowledge of Canva and Mailchimp is desirable.
- Experience in social media management and content creation is preferred but not required. E.g. experience in using Meta Business Suite and in creating artwork in Canva.
- Creativity and the ability to generate engaging content ideas.
- Willingness to collaborate and work as part of a team.
- Familiarity with social media analytics tools is desirable.
