Summary

An exciting opportunity to support the Willow team with managing different social media channels.

Detailed description

Willow is the only national charity working with seriously ill young adults aged 16 to 40 to fulfil uplifting and unforgettable Special Days.

What’s involved?

Working within our Communications and Marketing team, you will be involved in:

  • Researching and creating creative content around key dates for different social media channels
  • Identifying opportunities to establish relationships with local and national groups
  • Responding to messages and comments in a timely manner
  • Helping us to connect with potential charitable partners and businesses
  • Thinking of innovative ways to drive online engagement and fundraising
  • Identifying target audiences and developing plans to reach them
  • Keeping up to date with current trends and making suggestions for how we can get involved

How long and how often?

We are looking for a volunteer to commit a few hours each week (or more if available)

This role will suit you if you are….

This is an ideal role for someone who knows their way around social media channels (including Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram and Tik Tok) and who has an interest in helping to spread the word about our wonderful charity to new and existing audiences across the UK.

Experience in building a community on social media, Meta fundraising tools, campaign planning, paid ads and reporting would be a real bonus but these are not essential. If you are creative, have good attention to detail and are a whizz on social media, this opportunity is the one for you.

The impact you’ll make….

Your support will help our busy team to reach a broader online audience, engage new supporters and donors, and make people feel part of the Willow family. Ultimately your support will mean Willow can continue to provide special days, treats and breaks, for more seriously ill young adults.

What can you expect from us?

You will be part of a small tea, who are on hand to support you with your role and offer any training support where required. You will be provided with all necessary resources available and trained on how to use them. We will keep you updated on how your support benefits the team, Willow, and our services.

Location - Willow, Gate House, Fretherne Road, Welwyn Garden City, Herts, AL8 6NS or remote. If working remotely, it would be good if you could join one of our team meetings at least once a month.
