This is a great opportunity for an enthusiastic volunteer to join our small, but busy finance team in Welwyn Garden City.

Detailed description

Role description:

We are looking for someone who can commit to supporting the team on a regular, ongoing basis. You will be assisting the team with varied tasks, helping us with finance procedures as well as admin for our retail operation.

 

What’s involved?

In this role you will be assisting the finance team with general finance tasks such as processing purchase invoices and staff expenses and assisting with credit card statements, income and gift aid. You will specialise on finance admin for our retail operation including setting up staff expense claims, recording credit card purchases, monitoring and ordering stationery stock and assisting with our gift aid claims. This role will require you to be organised and have good attention to detail. You will be a vital part of supporting the team.

 

How long and how often:

We are looking for a volunteer to offer longer term support, committing a few hours a week on either a Monday morning, Tuesday afternoon or Thursday morning. 

 

The role will suit you if you are…

This is an ideal role for someone who is looking to volunteer on a regular basis in an office environment. Good numeracy and Excel skills are essential combined with work experience in an office environment. GCSE Maths grade 5 or above / A* - C is desirable.

Your support will help our busy retail team to remain on top of retail administrative tasks enabling them to continue to provide outstanding customer service.


Your support will mean Willow can continue supporting seriously ill young adults across the UK.

You will be a part of a small team, who are on hand to support you with your role and offer any training support where required. You will be provided with all necessary resources available and trained on how to use them. We will keep you informed and updated on how your support benefits the team, Willow and Special Days.
