About Watford Social Centre for the Blind

The Watford Blind Centre is an independent self-funded charity relying on donations to operate. We meet weekly in the centre of Watford at The Rene Milton Hall, which was named after our founder chairman and is owned by the charity. The centre is supported and led by a group of volunteers who are not carers or linked to the social services but individuals who enjoy working with others. Help and advice can be provided about equipment and gadgets for blind and partially blind people. We are able to provide an opportunity to meet socially with those who have a similar disability and support our members with help and advice about equipment and gadgets for blind and partially blind. We welcome new members of any age who are blind or visually impaired and who are able bodied within Watford and the surrounding area.
