Summary

You’ll look after and update the contents (images as well as audio) of our interactive digital display, and keep the website up to date.

Detailed description

We have an increasing collection of digital material, displayed in the museum on our interactive display kiosk and also on our website.

This role will augment the work of our technical lead for the display kiosk, and relieve the volunteer who now runs the website in addition to his other tasks.

The role could be split, with the two parts done by a different person.

You'll keep the image and other files on the kiosk up to date, with frequent refreshment, and also makes sure that each file on display has a suitable description. Selection of suitable images will be important – not all are good enough, and some may need to be re-worked.

At least one member of the team assists the chairman and marketing lead in keeping the website up to date. It‘s the main channel by which we provide information to the public, so it’s really important to what we do.

Ability to use a computer, with access to the internet, is essential, and experience with digital images will be very helpful.

Much can be done working at home, but some time in the museum and in liaison with the chairman and other volunteers will be important.

Getting there

We are just off the High Street next to the Watersmeet theatre. Car parking is nearby, and buses stop close by. The Met Line station is about 5 minutes walk.
