Summary

Can you help our busy HR Team by carrying out regular driver checks, probation checks and updating our HR database

Detailed description

Purpose of this role

Our HR team focusses on recruiting, onboarding and supporting staff across the whole charity. They are incredibly busy and have a number of standard processes that need doing regularly. Having a volunteer to support with this will free up their valuable time to be more customer focussed.

Main tasks

The jobs that a volunteer could do may include some or all of the following:

-         Carrying out regular driving checks for staff (car insurance, MOT, driving licence checks) and uploading the information onto our HR database, Cascade

-         Following up on probation paperwork and uploading it to individual staff’s records

-         Using reports to fill in gaps in the data on our database

-         General admin tasks such as shredding, photocopying etc.

What are we looking for?

·        Very confident IT skills including the use of MS Office and MS Outlook

·        Previous use of a database would be helpful, but we will train you in how to use Cascade

·        Meticulous attention to detail and the ability to follow a process

·        Happy to work with our friendly team, but also able to get on with a task independently

·        An understanding that confidentiality is paramount

·        Age 18+

About Rennie Grove Peace Hospice Care

We are a charity providing care and support for adults and children with a progressive life-limiting illness, and those who care for them, in Buckinghamshire and Hertfordshire.
Our support begins as soon as it is needed – whether that is at the point of diagnosis, or when a symptom or support need arises. Our patients are supported to live the best quality of life they can through the combination of outpatient, rehabilitation and supportive care services, Hospice at Home and inpatient care that is right for them.
We are also here for those around our patients, including family, friends and carers, ensuring that everyone can receive the right support, wherever and whenever they need it.
Our care is provided at no cost to our patients and families and is made possible by the generous donations we receive from our local community.
