Summary

Help the Strength and Balance sessions at Jackmans Community Centre. These sessions are part of a county wide programme.

Detailed description

The Jackmans Community Centre strength and balance sessions take place on Tuesdays 2:30-3:30. These sessions are aimed at older adults who are at risk of falls. They aim to increase muscle strength and stability on their feet.

The sessions are led by Postural Stability Instructors (PSI) and follow evidence based exercise programmes.

We are looking for volunteers to support the running of these busy community sessions, to be an aide to the instructor. This could include helping with the register, setting out of chairs and being on hand to help with first aid if required. As such, we are looking for volunteers with first aid qualifications and background in physical activity.

Stevenage Football Club Foundation are running sessions across Hertfordshire - get in touch if you'd like to support elsewhere.
