Detailed description

Herts Inclusive Theatre (HIT) is a charity that believes that everyone should have access to the arts. HIT runs weekly drama groups and creative workshops across Hertfordshire.

HIT are looking for volunteers for Wednesday Night Project, a weekly workshop group for ages 11-18 that focuses on the skills of dance, drama and design. The group works towards a final performance at the end of term.

Wednesday Night Project will be running at Hertswood Academy, Borehamwood for ten weeks from 2nd October - 11th December, 6pm-8pm.

Volunteers don't need to have any prior experience, but they do need to be 18+. Volunteers can come for all ten weeks, or a selection of dates they are available for.

Volunteering with HIT will provide you with skills in theatre-making, working with teens, and working as part of a team. You will be making an impact in our participants' lives and helping to create a very special show!

About Herts Inclusive Theatre

Herts Inclusive Theatre (HIT) use the arts and wellbeing practices to build confidence, develop skills and give participants and their families memorable, enjoyable life experiences where everyone is encouraged, valued, supported and has their part to play.

Led by experienced practitioners, our workshops are open to all and are especially welcoming to those with special needs. We run termly theatre workshops across Hertfordshire and North London, as well as creative activities during the holiday periods. Through these activities we break down barriers about disability, encouraging participants to work together on an equal level and without prejudice.
