Who is Herts Inclusive Theatre?

We are a charity who provide drama groups and creative projects for children, teens, and adults across Hertfordshire. We believe everyone should have access to the arts, so our groups are designed to be inclusive and accessible for everyone.

What is Wednesday Night Project?

This is a project run by Herts Inclusive Theatre on a Wednesday night at Hertswood Academy, Cowley Hill, Borehamwood from 6pm-8pm. It is aimed at children and teens aged 10-16, and focuses on the skills of dance, drama and design.

Participants decide on their own performance, which they work towards showing at the end of term.

What will you be doing?

Volunteers are integral to ensuring all our participants have fun while developing their skills in dance, drama and design. You can expect to work as part of a team, supporting our facilitators (who lead the sessions) and participants as they work towards their final performance.

Who are you?

Volunteers need to be 18+ and available to help out for some or all of our sessions on Wednesdays from 6pm-8pm. You don't need prior experience - we will teach you everything you need to know!

About Herts Inclusive Theatre

Herts Inclusive Theatre (HIT) use the arts and wellbeing practices to build confidence, develop skills and give participants and their families memorable, enjoyable life experiences where everyone is encouraged, valued, supported and has their part to play.

Led by experienced practitioners, our workshops are open to all and are especially welcoming to those with special needs. We run termly theatre workshops across Hertfordshire and North London, as well as creative activities during the holiday periods. Through these activities we break down barriers about disability, encouraging participants to work together on an equal level and without prejudice.
