Volunteer Guides help bring Henry Moore's artwork to life by guiding school, college and group visitors around the sculptor's former estate.Detailed description
Do you have an enthusiasm for art and culture, or experience in education? Do enjoy spending time surrounded by art and nature?
We are looking for enthusiastic people to join our community of Volunteer Guides at Henry Moore Studios & Gardens and help bring Henry Moore’s work to life for our educational and group visitors.
Who we are
Henry Moore is one of the most important and influential artists of the twentieth century. From 1940 until his death in 1986, Moore lived and worked in the small hamlet of Perry Green Hertfordshire, where he acquired over 70 acres of land and set up various studios, creating the perfect place to make and show his art in nature. Although Moore’s work travelled across the globe, he understood that it was here in Perry Green that the most profound understanding of his work could be gained.
What we do
Perry Green is now the home to the Henry Moore Foundation: the charity established by the artist in 1977 to support the visual arts, safeguard his legacy and preserve the unique experience of visiting his home and studios. Moore’s home, studios and gardens are open to visitors as Henry Moore Studios & Gardens from April to the end of October each year.
