If you are a caring and outgoing person, we would love for you to help as a volunteer at our Kingfisher Dementia Club. The Kingfisher Club is a welcoming, inclusive club for people living with mild to moderate dementia, memory loss, or for anyone who simply wants to join in with the fun! We run a range of activities every day, such as crafts, games, singing, quizzes, and we offer a hot two-course lunch as well. We are looking for more volunteers to help us with the smooth running of the activities at our club.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare the room in the morning for any of the days activities
- Greet clients upon arrival
- Prepare teas and coffees, water, and squash, throughout the day
- Serve food and drink choices during lunch hours
- Clean and sanitise areas

- De-brief with the Activities Co-ordinator at the beginning and end of the day
- Engage with clients throughout the day
(The debrief at the beginning should consist of the plan for the day, involving any client concerns and/or issues to be mindful of. The debrief at the end of the day should involve you handing over any relevant information before leaving – This should be done in the office, as confidential client information may be discussed)
We are particularly looking for volunteers who have the following attributes:
