Summary
This is an exciting opportunity to train as a Prehistory educator. Gain ancient skills such as friction fire lighting, and learn how lead school groups.Detailed description
If you have an interest in Prehistory and fancy having a go at outdoor education this is the perfect opportunity!
This 6 month education trainee programme will run from Spring 2024, with three volunteers taking part one to two days a week.
Each trainee will have a logbook and will observe, assist and be observed leading a range of activities from different Stone to Iron Age formal education days. Trainees will be briefed on risk assessments, operations procedures, lesson plans and scripts before shadowing an educator.
This opportunity is part of Lavina’s Legacy: Skills from the Past for the Future, an initiative funded with thanks to National Lottery Heritage Fund and National Lottery players.
