Summary
We are looking for photographer or videographer to get photographs or video clips at Carers in Hertfordshire events to promote the charity.Detailed description
WHERE AND WHEN :
Around Hertfordshire at Carers in Hertfordshire meetings, workshops or events, or of volunteers and staff at work or supporting carers or people with care needs who are supported by our Care Service. Some activities take place in the charity’s offices in Borehamwood or Hertford, but most are held at community venues such as halls or cafes, or on occasion at an individual’s home.
ROLE :
- Take photographs or video clips, as agreed and to a brief, at charity activities or of individuals for use to promote Carers in Hertfordshire, carers and caring, positively.
- Process and share images and videos.
- Source relevant permissions, if required, when taking photographs / filming. The charity can supply consent forms for this.
- Organise photo shoots / filming with individuals involved, if required (for example if asked to capture mentoring or a member of staff / volunteer supporting a carer or other individual
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR :
- Needs to have own equipment that can take digital photographs / or video footage at a suitable resolution for use by Carers in Hertfordshire.
- Ability to work under own initiative and confident in speaking to people to direct them for assignments, make arrangements or seek consent if required.
- Good organisational skills and an eye for detail.
- Ability to work to a brief and any deadlines.
- Good communication skills.
- Some IT skills. Mainly to save images or files to disc or share via digital transfer.
- An ability to edit photographs or video clips is desirable.
- A willingness to travel to assignments within Hertfordshire. You will ideally have a full driving licence and access to a vehicle with insurance. (We can pay mileage expenses if you drive to an assignment).
- Friendly and helpful manner

Carers in Hertfordshire provides advice, information and support to unpaid carers - people looking after someone who is elderly, disabled, has a physical or mental illness or who misuses drugs or alcohol.
Ensuring Hertfordshire's carers are identified, supported and stay well, is at the heart of our work. We give carers a voice with opportunities to meet other carers. We also enable carers to share their views or experiences with those providing or planning health and social care services in Hertfordshire.
We support carers of all ages - children and adults - if they live, work or care in Hertfordshire. Our services are provided free to carers.
We also have a Care Service in Hertsmere, Three Rivers and Watford, which involves professional Care Support Workers providing individual packages of care to people with care needs through domiciliary care or Carers' Breaks.
