Is Gardening one of your passions?
We are looking for an enthusiastic volunteer with a passion for gardening.
Would you be interested in sharing your gardening knowledge with children to help them appreciate growing their own fruit and vegetables and to learn about healthy eating.
You would be a part of the CHEXS GROW CLUB, you would be supporting and guiding the children in our local primary schools to grow their own vegetables, which they can then enter for best on show in our GROW CLUB Finale. Which takes place at our CHEXS Community Event at Grundy Park in July.
We are looking for someone who is:
- Enthusiastic and dedicated with an interest and aptitude for gardening.
- Good people skills.
- Who would be able to do one hour either during school lunch or after school, one day within the week
We will provide you with:
- Training and support for planning and organising the sessions.
- We will cover your Travel expenses
- A criminal record check (DBS) – an official requirement

We are based in Waltham Cross and work with 13 of the local schools with a bespoke GROWTH programme consisting of 10 projects combined with parenting support and workshops to build stronger families.
