Volunteering with CHEXS and working outdoors on both creative community and habitat managements projects, coaching and supporting children and young people.Detailed description
Enjoy working outdoors?
To help and support young people from schools in our local community, working with the CHEXS Team at Lea Valley Park Authority and other community areas managing the Habitation, Clearing scrubs and creating Dead hedge constructions. This enrichment provides our young people with an opportunity to work outdoors to gain experience working in a team and participating in a community project to improve the area for the local people to use.
We are looking for someone who:
- Enjoys working with young people and is able to guide them in these outdoor activities.
- Who is willing to participate in physical work out-doors (all weathers)
- Has good communication skills
- Enthusiastic and dedicated
We will provide you with:
- Training and support
- Experience working in a team
- Cover your Travel expenses
Must have:
- You will be required to complete a criminal record check (DBS)

CHEXS are a charity that supports parents and young people within Hertfordshire.
We are based in Waltham Cross and work with 13 of the local schools with a bespoke GROWTH programme consisting of 10 projects combined with parenting support and workshops to build stronger families.
