Summary

The All Saints Catholic Academy Trust (ASCAT) is currently seeking to recruit Governors for a number of our Schools local Governing Boards.

Detailed description

The role of Governors is to ensure high standards of achievement for all children and young people in the school by setting the school’s vision, ethos and strategic direction; holding the headteacher to account for the educational performance of the school and its pupils; and overseeing the financial performance of the school and making sure its money is well spent. This is an exciting opportunity to play a role in a vibrant and collaborative Trust that is in the process of expansion and development.

The role of Foundation Governor is incredibly rewarding and the benefits include:

• Professional development

• Supporting the local and wider Catholic community

• Gaining insight into the Education Sector

• Management & Leadership experience

• Being able to have a significant impact on the Schools in the Trust

• Build your professional and personal network

About All Saints Catholic Academy Trust

Formed in 2016, as part of the Diocese of Westminster's Academy Strategy, we provide a collaborative structure of school support and innovation for Catholic schools in South West Hertfordshire. As we grow in the coming years to welcome more of the Catholic Primary and Secondary schools from the Watford, St Albans and Dacorum areas, we look forward to further developing and strengthening partnerships of faith, support, mutual challenge and innovation as we seek to ensure 'An Outstanding Catholic Education for All' , as well as professional communities in which all staff are enabled to flourish and to contribute their unique, God-given gifts and talents to our shared mission.
