Summary

The All Saints Catholic Academy Trust (ASCAT) is currently seeking to recruit Directors for the Trust Board

Detailed description

Foundation Directors are key strategic decision-makers in a Catholic Academy Trust (CAT). The legal responsibility for the performance of each academy rests with them. Their role is strategic rather than operational much in the same way that the role of a Foundation Governor is within a single non-academy Catholic school. The Directors of the Trust delegate responsibilities, through the Scheme of Delegation, to the Catholic Executive Officer (CEO), Local Governing Bodies (LGBs) and headteachers of each school.

This is an exciting opportunity to play a role in a vibrant and collaborative Trust that is in the process of expansion and development.

The role of Foundation Director is incredibly rewarding and some of the many benefits include:

  • Personal and professional development
  • Supporting the local and wider Catholic community
  • Gaining insight into the Education Sector
  • Have impact on the Schools in the Trust

About All Saints Catholic Academy Trust

Formed in 2016, as part of the Diocese of Westminster's Academy Strategy, we provide a collaborative structure of school support and innovation for Catholic schools in South West Hertfordshire. As we grow in the coming years to welcome more of the Catholic Primary and Secondary schools from the Watford, St Albans and Dacorum areas, we look forward to further developing and strengthening partnerships of faith, support, mutual challenge and innovation as we seek to ensure 'An Outstanding Catholic Education for All' , as well as professional communities in which all staff are enabled to flourish and to contribute their unique, God-given gifts and talents to our shared mission.
