Do you love to cook? Do you want to protect our planet as well as feed people? If you do, we’d love you to join our team!
We are looking for a lovely community minded person with time and commitment to cook for the people who come to our shop for hot food. Our customers have told us they like jackets, toasties, soup, curries, pasta dishes and lots of puddings!
We have standard recipes for you to follow and our food is vegetarian. It’s not fancy, just good and tasty home cooked food.
We started doing our Thursday Takeaway so that anyone whether it be due to time, money or facilities needed a hot meal to take home. Everyone is welcomed, absolutely everyone!
We think it’s an important service, especially as it looks like many people will be making difficult choices about what to do with their money in the near future.
We hope you feel our effort to support our community is important too!
Please note that all kitchen volunteers need a Level 2 Certificate in Food Safety & Hygiene, the cost of which can be covered by the organisation.
